To me, the Good News is that we have eternal life as a gift for believing in Christ.

It is also a gift, and Good News, that we are able trust the Lord to care of our needs in this life as well as the next.

We can be happy and at peace in this life knowing the Good News that we are loved by God and he wishes us to be filled with joy and peace in believing in him.

The Good News is found in the word of God in the Scriptures.

There are a variety of Scripture verses that tell the Good News.

Go back to John and tell him about what you have heard and seen - the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. And tell him: "God blesses those who are not offended by me."
Matthew 11:4-6

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.
John 10:28

I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die like everyone else, will live again. They are given eternal life for believing in me and will never perish.
John 11:25-26

Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father's home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

The disciples were astounded. "Then who in the world can be saved?" they asked. Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God." Then Peter began to mention all that he and the other disciples had left behind. "We've given up everything to follow you," he said. And Jesus replied, "I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return, a hundred times over, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property - with persecutions. And in the world to come they will have eternal life. But many who seem to be important now will be the least important then, and those who are considered least here will be the greatest then."
Mark 10:21-31

Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.

If people persecute you because you are a Christian, don't curse them; pray that God will bless them. When others are happy, be happy with them. If the are sad, share their sorrow. Live in harmony with each other. Don't try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don't think you know it all!

So I pray that God, who gives you hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in him. May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that this pleasure is from the hand of God. For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him? God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him.

Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat well, drink a good glass of wine, and enjoy their work - whatever they do under the sun - for however long God lets them live. And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life - that is indeed a gift from God. People who do this rarely look with sorrow on the past, for God has given them reasons for joy.
Ecclesiastes 5:18-20

In that day deaf people will hear words read from a book, and blind people will see through the gloom and darkness. The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the Lord.

Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return...singing songs of everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be overcome with joy and gladness.
